Chapter 34 - "Priori Incantatem" - In which Voldemort again attempts to kill Harry but their spells clash, shades of Voldemort's victims emerge from his wand, and Harry escapes through the Portkey.

With Harry untied, Voldemort challenges him to a duel. He forces him to bow, performs the [Cruciatus Curse], and when he uses the [Imperius] to force Harry to speak, Harry refuses. Determined to defend himself, he casts a spell at Voldemort, and their wands lock with a golden thread. Without realizing what he's doing, Harry forces the shadows of Voldemort's victims to return - Cedric, [Frank Bryce], Bertha Jorkins, and Lily and James. They give him instructions, and when he breaks the connection, he grabs Cedric's body and the [Portkey], transporting him back to [Hogwarts].
Chapter 35 - "Veritaserum" - In which Harry returns to Hogwarts, telling Moody what happened while returning to the castle. Moody reveals that it was he who put Harry's name in the Goblet, and that he stage-managed Harry's performance in all three Tasks. Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Snape arrive in time to prevent Moody from killing Harry. Dumbledore blasts Moody, sends Snape and McGonagall on errands, and opens the seven-lock trunk to reveal the real Moody in an underground pit. As the Polyjuice Potion wears off, the fake Moody is revealed as Crouch's son, who tells all when questioned under Veritaserum.
Back at [Hogwarts], Harry falls to the ground and is immediately attended to by [Dumbledore] and Cornelius Fudge. As he hears screams in the background, Harry is rushed to the castle by Mad-Eye Moody, and they finally sit down together in [Moody's office].
Moody peppers Harry with questions about the Dark Lord, and soon admits to being the Death Eater who entered him in the [Triwizard Tournament] and guided him secretly through the tasks. But when he goes to kill Harry, there is an explosion at the door, throwing Moody to the floor instead.
[Dumbledore], Snape, and McGonagall rush in, Dumbledore gives orders to Snape and McGonagall but asks that Harry remain, and as the others depart, he opens Moody's trunk, to find the true Moody inside, having been impersonated with [Polyjuice Potion]. Before long, the imposter reverts to his original form - [Barty Crouch, Jr.]
As Snape and McGonagall return with Winky, [Dumbledore] feeds [Veritaserum] to [Crouch, Jr.] and forces him to explain what's happened. He tells them of how his father, [Crouch, Sr.], helped him escape from [Azkaban] and kept him at home under the [Imperius Curse]. He then explains going to the [Quidditch World Cup], Bertha Jorkins' betrayal of his location, Wormtail's keeping Crouch, Sr. under the Imperius Curse, and his killing of his father.
Chapter 36 - "The Parting of the Ways" - In which Harry tells his story to Dumbledore and Sirius, then is turned over to Madam Pomfrey. Meanwhile, Fudge allows a Dementor to Kiss Crouch. Fudge argues with Dumbledore about what has happened, refusing to believe Voldemort is back, refusing to take measures against him. Dumbledore dispatches those loyal to him on various errands.
In Dumbledore's Office
[Dumbledore] once again gives orders to McGonagall and Snape, and brings Harry with him to his office.
Harry and [Dumbledore] walk into [Dumbledore's office], where Sirius meets them and Dumbledore asks Harry to explain the story of what happened to him in the graveyard.
