The Singing Valentine

Singing Dwarf (CS13) © Mary GrandPré

"I've got a musical message to deliver to 'Arry Potter in person."
-- an unnamed, surly-looking dwarf wearing golden wings and carrying a harp (CS13)

Lockhart's idea of a Valentine's Day treat was to send his "friendly, card-carrying cupids" roving about the school all day on Valentine's Day delivering cards and singing love messages to various students (CS13). One of the nasty-tempered dwarves tackled Harry in the hall and sat on his legs to sing him this song.

His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad,
His hair is as dark as a blackboard.
I wish he was mine, he's really divine,
The hero who conquered the Dark Lord.
