Day-to-Day Calendar of Deathly Hallows

Day-to-Day Calendar of Deathly Hallows

NOTE: This calendar is NOT formatted for smaller screens. We are working to create a version which will work on any size device, but that’s a bit trickier than you might think with the calendar layout. Since this is a direct port from an outdated system, some of the formatting might be a bit wonky and some links might not work.

Edited by John Kearns

The numbers following some descriptions are chapter/page references: DH29/628 means chapter 29, page 628 of the first hardcover US edition (like all good purists, we embrace the UK edition as the standard, but we’re working from the first hardcover US edition at the moment, so bear with us).

Please realize that this is a first draft of our calendar.  There are almost certainly some things missing and some changes to be made, so please be patient with us as we get them straightened out.  If you have specific information that makes you think we’ve made a choice that’s wrong, send us an owl, citing references (including page numbers) and let us know what needs to be changed. Thanks!

Events in blue are approximate dates. The lettered items in the calendar have corresponding notes below.

Epilogue

Notes:

1The Easter holidays most likely begin Friday, 21 March. The earliest possible date for Easter Sunday on this calendar is 23 March, but it is far more likely that it starts later than this. Also, though we don’t know for certain the length of Hogwarts’ Easter holidays, again the likelihood is great that they are later in the spring, rather than earlier. The holidays cannot begin any later than 21 March because the events described as taking place the next week are specifically in March (DH22). Rowling has stated that the Battle of Hogwarts took place on 2 May. We are assuming for this calendar that she means that the final battle in the Great Hall was on 2 May.

Special thanks to Malte for pulling out a number of specific details to make this more exact.
