Oh, of course there are a million things that I wish had been included in the films. But there are a few really weird things that I really would have loved to have seen included. Here are my top three Weird Canon Moments:

3 – The fight with the floating brains and the Death Eater with the baby’s head from the Battle of the Department of Mysteries (OP35)

c35--beyond-the-veil

2 – The creepy mannequins in the shop window of Purge & Dowse Ltd. silently beckoning with their dummy fingers (OP22)

And my number one weird canon moment that I wish had been depicted in the films:

1 – Dumbledore wearing a flowered bonnet and Hagrid drunkenly kissing McGonagall at the Christmas feast (PS12)

Good choice! But I also missed the bubotubers and blast-ended screwts in the herbology and care for magical creatures lessons; I’m wondering if the madness of Mr. Crough was in the film or not. If I’m correct, they only find his body, but the dialogue between Harry and poor Mr. Crough was skipped.

  • My favorite weird moment that was totally skipped in the movies (in exchange we get a strange scene in the London Underground) was Dumbledore putting the Dursleys in their place. Such a fantastic scene.
