Harry imprisoned in his room after Dobby’s visit

Harry imprisoned in his room after Dobby’s visit

Harry is punished by being locked in his room and only allowed out to use the bathroom twice a day (CS2).

Furious with Harry for Dobby’s effect on the Dursleys’ dinner with the Masons and newly aware that Harry cannot legally use his magic to avoid punishment, Uncle Vernon has bars put on Harry’s bedroom window and installs a cat-flap in the door so that Harry can be fed without his getting to leave his room or interact with other people (CS2).

During his imprisonment, Harry has a dream in which he is displayed in a zoo and told he is safe in that situation when he asks Dobby for help (CS2).

Timeline Notes

Harry's punishment begins following the dinner party fiasco, and he endures it for three days before the Fred, George, and Ron rescue him (CS2).
