Puddlemere United adopts new colors and design for team robes

Team manager Philbert Deverill announces to the Daily Prophet that Puddlemere United will be changing the colour of their team robes from mud-brown to kingfisher blue (DP1).

Puddlemere win their next game against the Wigtown Wanderers – wearing the new colours and aided by the performance of their new Chaser Wilda Griffiths (DP2).

Timeline Notes

Likely to have taken place before the start of the Quidditch season

Notes

In Quidditch Through the Ages, Puddlemere United is said to have navy-blue robes (QA7). There is no mention of mud-brown (DP1) being changed to a kingfisher blue (DP2). Puddlemere won their next game in the new colours - so although fans dislike having to buy new team robes or souvenirs when colours change, winning will make it more palatable.

Although the dates printed on the Daily Prophet Newsletters are:

  • DP1: 31 July 1998 and
  • DP2: 8 February 1999,

the timeframe for these events is 1992-1993.
