The Hudson River is a large American waterway extending through eastern New York State before flowing into the Atlantic Ocean through New York Harbor.

In 1927, as dangerous prisoner Gellert Grindelwald was being moved from a cell at MACUSA Headquarters to be taken to Europe and brought to justice, he managed to escape from a Thestral-drawn carriage that was crossing the Hudson River at night (CG).
