"I mean, normally, being in lockdown, being in constant detention. It'd break me but now - what’s the worst they can do? Bring back Mouldy Voldy and have him torture me? Nope."
-- Scorpius Malfoy (CC3.14)

Nickname given to the dead Voldemort by Scorpius Malfoy (CC3.14).

  • Scorpius and Albus Potter traveled back in time using an Experimental Time-Turner and ended up in a timeline where Voldemort and The Augurey ruled the Wizarding World because Harry Potter had died (CC3.4). After viewing that Dark version of the world, Scorpius realized his ordinary life of “constant detentions” at Hogwarts was not scary because at least Voldemort was not alive to torture him (CC3.14).
  • Scorpius was so relieved to get back to his own reality that he nicknamed himself “Scorpius the Dreadless” and “Malfoy the Unanxious” (CC3.14). But his sense of calm was premature since The Augurey was alive and well in his own world, and revealed herself later (CC3.19).

Etymology

American English "moldy" = British "mouldy" - in this case refers to decay of a dead body in a grave, from Old English molde meaning earth, dust, or soil. Rhymes with "Voldy" = short for Voldemort.
