- The Forest of Dean
- A Dartmoor forest near the 1994 Quidditch World Cup stadium, where Harry, Ron and Hermione hid after Death Eaters stormed the campground (GF9). The trio returned here several years later when on the run from the Ministry of Magic and spent the night camped out in the woods (DH14).
- Several of the other places the trio stayed while on the run from the Ministry were located in forests spread throughout the Britain as well (DH15).
- The Black Forest, Germany – It was reported that Professor Quirrell had met vampires while travelling there (PS5) and a group of wizards attended the 1994 Quidditch World Cup from the area by Portkey (GF7).
- The “Attack of the Killer Forest” at the 1809 Quidditch World Cup final took place in Russia on the West Siberian plains (Pm).
