A Chairwizard is the wizarding equivalent of a Muggle world “Chairman” or “Chairperson”.
Hassan Mostafa, the referee at the 1994 Quidditch World Cup final, is the Chairwizard of the International Association of Quidditch (GF8).
The Chair, Chairman, Chairperson or Chairwoman is the person who takes the chair (or presides) over a meeting. It can also mean the person represents an organisation, committee or company (Oxford English Dictionary).
Is there an equivalent of "Chairwitch"? Does usage of the term "Chairwizard" cause the similar discussions of political correctness to the Muggle word "Chairman"?
