"My father. He liked owning things that no one else had. The Ministry’s Time-Turners – thanks to Croaker – were always a little vanilla for him. He wanted the ability to go back further than an hour, he wanted the ability to travel back years. He’d never have used it, secretly I think he preferred a world without Voldemort. But yes, the Time-Turner was built for him."
-- Draco Malfoy (CC4.4)

A device created for Lucius Malfoy in order to travel back in time longer than two hours, which was the limit for Ministry Time-Turners (CC4.4).

  • Made of gold, it had none of the limitations of Theodore Nott's Experimental Time-Turner made of cheap metal (CC4.4).
  • Draco did not give the Golden Time Turner to the Ministry for years because there were rumors about his wife Astoria giving birth to the son of Voldemort and he wanted to protect his son Scorpius (CC4.4). He believed people would take the Time Turner as proof that the rumors were true, even though Scorpius was his definitely his own child.
  • Used by Draco, Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny to travel back to Godric's Hollow 1981 and find Scorpius and Albus, and also to stop Delphi from meeting up with her father, Lord Voldemort (CC4.7, CC4.11).
